Dr. Rachel Heater has been an adjunct professor in the Marriage and Family Therapy Department at ³Ô¹Ï±¬ÁÏ University for the past ten years. She holds a doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy and maintains a private practice, where she works with children, families, and couples.
As an AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Dr. Heater brings extensive expertise in couples therapy, child-centered play therapy, trauma, conflict resolution, and court-involved families. Her teaching philosophy centers on collaborative creativity, curiosity, and fostering a powerful sense of community within the classroom.
Passionate about family dynamics, she has a particular interest in the role of couple and family rituals. She previously published an article in Marriage and Family Therapy Magazine on the significance of family dinners and their impact on connection and well-being.
