Թϱ College Appoints Scorpio Rogers as Vice President of Bronx and Manhattan Campuses

Թϱ College announced today that it has appointed Scorpio Rogers as vice president of the Bronx and Manhattan Campuses, effective August 1, 2022. Rogers has served as the interim vice president of the Manhattan Campus since August 2021.
As the senior, on-site management representative for ԹϱManhattan and now for the Bronx Campus, Rogers will help Թϱ achieve ambitious goals related to increased enrollment and educational programs, deeper relationships with community organizations and employers, and overall student success. Internally, Rogers will work closely with students, faculty and staff to ensure an excellent learning environment with robust events and support services. Externally, this role will focus on building relationships with community partners and elected officials in Manhattan and the Bronx to create more impactful connections through networking and speaking events and increased internship and career opportunities.
Rogers has been an assistant professor in Թϱ’s School of Business since 2017 and has served in multiple administrative roles in the School, including associate dean, executive director of the incubation center and director of entrepreneurship. His academic specialty is entrepreneurship, and he has taught in the areas of entrepreneurship, business, marketing and finance. He is currently a candidate for a Ph.D. in business at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and holds an M.B.A. in management from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business concentrating on entrepreneurship and strategy, an MS in applied business research from the University of Denver, and a BA from Dartmouth College in computer science. Rogers is also a certified Six Sigma Green Belt in process re-engineering.

My personal experiences as a first-generation minority college student who was raised in Harlem and the South Bronx affords me a unique perspective for our students, faculty and staff at these two campuses,” said Rogers.
Rogers has partnered with and consulted for various entrepreneurial organizations, including the William Jefferson Clinton Small Business Initiative, where he was recognized by former President Clinton for his service. He and his wife, Michelle, have a son, Xavier, and two daughters, Michaela and Ari. In his rare spare time, he cycles and reads.
